So, most of the people who show up in the comic have names. However, this civilian Green Skull is strangling is just ‘yellowshirt’ in my head. He’s a gym rat who works at the center who thought he could tip the balance of the fight in Firehawk’s favor.
So all these are done in a system that starts with a 3D-render out of Blender and then goes to manual coloring and shading. I call it ‘rendersmear’ until I can think of a better name. All the Green Skull and Firehawk appearances since the start of the data center are done in rendersmear.
I thought it would be jarring if I didn’t do yellowshirt in rendersmear, but I was afraid the hair and face wouldn’t work out. I’m reasonably happy with it. I kept worrying it’d be obvious that yellowshirt and Firehawk use the same 3D model. It’s not very obvious to me, anyway.
